Through this we realized there's a better way to build the game, but it would require redesigning the core mechanic, and thus every other mechanic too. We did and the result is Trekking the World 2nd Edition.

The three biggest differences:
- 2nd Edition is a drafting & racing game. 1st Edition was a set-collection & racing game
- 2nd Edition has a solo mode and 1st Edition didn’t.
- 2nd Edition features card powers you get for free by going to different destinations, representing your growing experience as a traveler. They’re different every game, and lead to big moments via combos:
